I love polyamorous erotica when it's got emotional intimacy, respect and panty soaking sex scenes, like that of M.Q. Barber and her "Neighbors" series. This premise looked appealing, but lost something in its execution. Repeatedly, were told the earth bride must mate with 3 men, whose ejaculate will make her sex crazed for them and vice versa. Why? To impregnate her with the next ruler meant to save their world. Within an hour of meeting her mates she's spanked and mounted. There's no chemistry or anything arousing about the experience. The BSDM aspects are clearly written by someone with little experience in the lifestyle because there's no discussion why punishment is meted out or mention of safe words. She gets spanked because the men know they can and do so when it pleases them. I was hoping for more of a build up to Leah's self discovery in accepting her desire for impact play. Same with the anal sex aspect. Sex scenes are plentiful but not Fulfilling--like ordering the best steak in town and ending up with a fast food burger. I started skipping pages looking for more to these guys beyond big penises.
Knowing Leah left earth to escape abuse and control, her immediate acceptance of these men's dominance and control didn't ring true. But that's just me.

Claimed by Her Mates Interstellar Brides Book 3 edition by Grace Goodwin Romance eBooks Reviews
Well plotted, with developed characters who have believable motives/feelings, and quirky personality traits - some sexual, of course. The heat level is on my 'hot pepper scale' and I'd put this one at Cayenne. ;-). IMO it's less hot with the scenes in the sex training huts for recalcitrant brides who have trouble submitting ... funny, but not as hot because the acting the Heroine must do is coercion and the settings somewhat humiliating. Not that her mates are trying to put her down. It's the situation they are stuck in.
NOTES for the morally concerned ZERO cuss words (apart from naughty bedroom ones) ; NO abuse or disrespect of females or their mates; NO substance use/abuse; NO infidelity; NO shallow sex; NO casual killing - killing is not graphic and is necessary to advance the story.
NOTES sex scenes include the usual variety of oral, anal, spanking, and conventional, plus use of toys, restraints, and humor. Yep, humor. Sex furniture enters. Although some sex is implied coercion, the other characters are not described much doing it, such as how the bindings in the sex training huts are used by other clients and their new wives ...and eventually we get to the 4-way Claiming Ceremony.
The setting on Viken is not idyllic, and an internal traitor sets the plot moving when the mates must resolve the murder of the royal advisor who's plan for reuniting Viken involves the Bride and the TRIPLET princes...so there's a good story connecting the hot sex scenes.
Expexted some hot mommy porn and was pleasantly surprised in a good way. Delivers the heat plus you get something of a story ala Jaid Black style . Not as skilled as Jaid yet but definitly literate. I suspect that Grace Goodwin could write regular non explicit novels if she so chose, but one needs must follow the money to make a living. My favorites are Ann Mayburn , Lexi Blake, Kresley Cole ( they would get the four or five stars). This is not of that caliber but it's definitely better than the no talent ripoffs we've been inundated with. This is around 120 pages or so.
I love erotica...I love polyamorous or menage erotica as well....but there's gotta be a story! I expected more from this story other than one hedonistic love scene after another. I expected more defiance, or at least questioning from our leading lady, Leah... instead of total compliance and acceptance. Yes, I know she agreed to be the wife of a stranger that she's the "perfect match" to, on another planet...still, I expected her NOT to be so willing when she gets the surprise of her life. Anyway, Leah Adams is on earth, running for her life and volunteers to be an interstellar wife on the planet Viken. She has no idea she'll be the bride to three husbands. Identical triplets. All that matters to Leah is escaping her powerful, influential, corrupt and abusive fiancee.
Drogan, Lev and Tor are identical triplets born to royalty and separated at 4 mos. of age for their protection, after their parents are murdered. They're all warrior leaders in their own sectors on the planet Viken. Thirty years later, they're reunited by the Grand Pubah, and told they're to marry one woman and sire an heir to unify and save their world destined for war. (Both civil and galactic). It's their only hope for survival. The only problem is they hate each other. They're enemies. They refuse to share a bride. But to save and unite their planet? Hmmmm...possibly/maybe. But this is their only choice in order to end thirty years of hatred between their sectors and convince the planet to stand together. Because they have a bigger galactic enemy waiting to conquer them and they can only defeat this enemy if they stand united.
Descriptions were precise, down to clothing and scenic details. Character descriptions were quickly established giving me a perfect visual. But because this story was so fast paced and because it was told from 4 POV's, it was difficult to connect to each character. Dragon, Lev and Tor are advanced beings...yet they live and act and dress like 12th century Vikings, which is by choice. But I loved these guys. They were so sexy. I loved their obsession of Leah...their possessiveness...(hmmmm...wonder what that says about me?!?). This story would've been so much better if it wasn't about sex all the time. Every chapter was about them mating, or bonding and all the sex acts they had to perform in order to make this bond take place. There's a teeny bit of drama and it's quickly squelched aaaaaaaaaaaand they're back to "mating"...<yawn>....and how horny these three guy's "viral and potent seed" makes this woman. LOL... Glad this was free...and short.
